Drummond Cemetery, located in Section 25 of Walnut Township about 1,000 feet east of Lincoln Pike Road and one-sixth mile northeast of the Steve Elliott Road.  It is fenced but not taken care of.Inscriptions were copied on March 28, 1976.

Peter Nida and his wife, Elizabeth Shuck Nida, and their twelve children left Virginia sometime between 1828-1831, coming to Gallia County, Ohio.

On the Maps of Gallia County, Ohio, for the year 1874 there is shown a "William Shuck" as owning property in Walnut Township, adjoining the Lawrence County line. It may be that this William Shuck was a relative of Elizabeth Shuck (Peter Nida's wife). It is believed that the name "Shook" is derived from "Shuck".
