“I saw the name William Roe on your site and that he had connections to the St James Episcopal Church where Edward Roe was christened and where Joshua contributed to the salary of the Rev Coleman.  If this William was born in 1738, I think it is possible he was Joshua's dad.  If William died in 1793...maybe that is why Joshua left and came to KY no later than 1795.  Also, I have a letter from Minnie Stafford that say on some of the bigomy case court papers from Carter Co referred to Edward as Billy.  Edward being Joshua's first son and named after his grandfather...William/Billy.”(Russel Roe, email 10/08)
