Listed as widowed on 1910 census

McKinney, Ura (Mrs. Odom) - Ura Hepner was born in Jasper county, Illinois, Jan. 16, 1886, departed this life April 25, 1918, aged 32 years, 3 months, and 9 days. She was converted and united with the Baptist church at Bogota Dec., 1915 and showed by her life that she had been with Christ and learned of him and that her trust was all in her Savior. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and a friend of all her neighbors.
She was first married to Harry Rooks and to this union were born two children, Goldie and Harry. Her first husband and daughter, Goldie, preceeded her in death. She was next united in marriage on May 7, 1910 to Odom McKinney and to this union was born one child, Othy. Besides a husband, Odom McKinney, she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hepner, four brothers, Alba, Wilbur, and Jesse Hepner of Point Pleasant, and Shelby Hepner, of Casey, Ill; four stepchildren, Robert, Willie, Charley and Lee McKinney; also, a host of other relatives and friends whose sympathies are indeed with the bereaved family. While we have lost her from our midst, she has gained her eternal home where she will sing praises to her precious Savior for evermore. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. T. Cox, after which the remains were laid to rest in South Muddy cemetery to await the ressurrection morning. (The Newton Press May 3, 1918 Page 1 Column 1 (contrib. by Steve Lawyer))
