OBIT: Hankins, Avery - The remains of Avery Hankins came in from Villa Grove, Wednesday, where his death occurred, and were taken to Smallwood Township for interment, Thursday. Deceased was a Civil war veteran. He resided near Bogota for many years and was a highly respected citizen. A Grand Army Post and a cemetery were named after him, both located in the vicinity of his former home. The Newton Press, March 26, 1920 - [Contributed by Source #33]
