Catherine “Cathy” Elizabeth Bahl, 62, of Ingraham, Illinois, passed away at 11:12 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2011 in her home with family by her side.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin with Reverend Father Mark Stec officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church and also from 9:30 to 10:00 on Saturday at the Church. Catherine was born July 8, 1948 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Bernadine (Ochs) Kuenstler. On April 23, 1968 she married Marvin D. Bahl. In her lifetime Catherine enjoyed many artistic hobbies and career ventures, having been self-employed as well as working for art distributors. She loved painting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Family Life Committee, and was always willing to help out in the communities of Wendelin and Ingraham, which she loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Miller and fiance' T.J. Welker of Clay City; two beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Miller and Hailey Miller; sister Margaret “Margie” (Richard) Weidner of Noble; sister Alfrieda Kuenstler of Flora; brother Robert “Bob” (Kathy) Kuenstler of Noble; and many treasured nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bernadine Kuenstler, her husband of 40 years, Marvin Bahl and her uncle Herman Kuenstler.
